Business Tune Up

We understand that many musicians prefer to avoid tackling the business side of things. We can organize your intellectual property assets, looking at songs and recordings to make sure you have properly registered with a performing rights society and SoundExchange, filed appropriate copyright registrations, and protected your band name with a federal trademark registration. For collaborators, we can create co-authorship or band agreements to help you define and document how you want to govern the results of your creative process.

Copyright Termination and Reversion

Under the US Copyright Act, musicians can reclaim older recordings by following certain procedures. If you released an album with a record label more than 30 years ago, you may be able to recover the rights to those recordings.
